3 years and counting

I am a wife who has a husband who was diagnosed with bowel cancer 3 years ago. I'll keep it short as I can. Stage 3 He had it operated on. Ended up with colostomy bag. Chemo for 3 months, 6 months later secondary in liver. Microwave ablation - gone. Colostomy reversal 6 months later. 2 months later all clear. 6 months later again scan shows its back in liver and in porto caval area. Both around 6 cms. Chemo best option.. 6 months later stop chemo. Radiotherapy possibly. Scan reveals too big. Need extra scan... Results today no radiotherapy. Tumours in liver, wrapped around artery and now a new one in the lungs. He is so fed up with it all as am I. But I'm the strong one.....  Looks like more chemo.  What does this mean now. We need answers so frustrated

Sorry just needed to get it out. It's been a long 3 years made worse by covid too. But I know we're not alone.

  • Hi Shazza8469, just seen your post, the ups and downs of this cancer journey leaves the patient and their loved ones absolutely shattered, but try and keep strong until your husband gets his fight back then together find out what options are available my hubby is on immunotherapy for kidney cancer, spots on lung and in his hip bone each time we have a bad result he just feels like giving up but in a day or two he starts fighting the cancer again.

I know it can be draining but  please take care of yourself we have only been on this journey since May 2019 good luck
