End of life

Hi everyone

i have looked after my 96 year old mother for the past 2 years after she was diagnosed with lung cancer

i have watched her go from doing stuff for herself to being bed ridden after a bad fall in January

I have read loads of stuff online ect but I know that my mum is getting forgetful and sleeping a lot not eating or drinking as much and last weekend we think she had a mini stroke and called paramedics she had high blood pressure and irregular heartbeat

she keeps asking sbout Xmas and when her great grands children ate coming to open there presents

but my main worry is that Xmas eve I have a doctor appointment for a blister type growth  on my vulva and hoping it is not vulva cancer

his will I cope if it is and looking after my mother

I am 61 now and my life revolves around mums care

  • Hello Tiredout

I'm sorry to hear about all that is going on for you at the moment. I wanted to stop by to wish you all the best for your appointment tomorrow. It's understandable that you're feeling worried about what this blister may be and what may happen further down the line.

Although often easier said than done, try to just take each day at a time and not think too far ahead into the future until you have some firmer answers.

Keep in touch and let us know how you get on at the appointment.

    Best wishes,
