I'm sorry to hear that someone close to you has been diagnosed with cancer. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious and worried about things.
There should be support available for you either from a palliative care team of the district nursing team. If you've not had contact with them then do get in touch with the patient's GP who will be able to arrange for someone to get in touch with you.
