Family Member Diagnosed with Breast Cancer???

Hi, thanks for taking the time to read.

So my gran who brought me up (shes only 63, im 24) got diagnosed with breast cancer a month ago and told me today. She had a mammogram and got diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer and going for an operation on the 30th which will probably follow with some chemo she says.

To be honest im not taking it well so i cant imagine how shes feeling so does anyone have any advice on how to help her and what to expect?

Will she have the operation and then its gone or is there a chance it can still spread after or what?

    This must be very tough for you both but I hope it helps to know that you're not alone as many of our members have been on this journey with their loved ones so they will know how you're feeling at the moment and hopefully some of them will be along soon to offer their support and advice.
