I am on "watchful waiting" and have been for the last couple of years and more. I am on my second visit of PC and over the last couple of three years my PSA has been steadily climbing, my first visit was a decade ago. I also suffer with Phimosis which is a condition that can give false readings regarding PSA. Five months ago the reading was up to 98 but as the worst of the Phimosis subsided (and I also used much more CBD during that rather worrying time). I also have Peyronie's disease (pay-roh-neez) is when tissue in the penis hardens permanently and a lump of scar tissue (a plaque) forms on the lining of the penis The last blood test revealed a fall to 78. I am in good health and the water works are seemingly OK. I have had CT and bone scans in recent months. I continue to have a varied diet with all the sensible fresh veg , a little red meat, and oily fish, and consume various vitamins to suppliment my diet. On occasion I have had accidents when caught short as the urge to go can be overwhelming but that has only happened a couple of times over the last twelve months. I guess what I want to convey to the reader is that some of us are really quite OK. I have of course had a cry to myself from time to time but overall I feel possitive most of the time and would like to think those arround me feel reasured by my personal experience. It's not doom and gloom but looking forward to enjoying life for as long as any of us have on earth. Stay strong!
Fingers crossed that the next blood test will reveal an encouraging PSA count.
By the way I am 68 years old......
The most important thing is te embrace life and make the best of wht you have. For goodness sake stay in a possitive frame of mind. I say this as a sufferer of cancer. I will always encourage my family. I am strong for them! I hope I can isnpire them to stay stong for me....simple message but necessary. When all around is seemingly falling apart. Find the extra and be possitive. It's actually not that hard!
Best to all going through cancer....and those close to ya!
Sending possitive thoughts.
