Lung cancer

My husband is going for a biopsy on Friday, they are 99% sure he has lung cancer he also has idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, so has a lot going on. I am just so scared of the future we have been married for 25 years and have no children so we are facing it alone really.

  • Hello Ben1,

Welcome to Cancer Chat and I'm sorry to hear about your husband. It's never easy coping with this news that you're expecting to get, but there is support around and it's important to reach out for that if you ever need it. There is some information here on coping with cancer, which I hope might be useful for you.

    Best wishes to you both,

  • So sorry to hear this Ben1. My Mum has been diagnosed with lung cancer, if, when you get the results it is actually lung cancer, please feel free to reach out to me to chat. Stay strong x

  • Hello, thank you for your reply. I am sorry to hear about your mum. My husband's biopsy has been cancelled because he has an infection going on somewhere and they need to sort that out first. He has an appointment with the consultant on Tuesday morning, so we will see what they say at that.

  • Hi I’m not sure if I should even be worried at this stage but just had final treatment for endometrial and my ct scan picked up 2 x 3.5cm shadows either side of upper spine chest level. Fella that did my treatment said they are vague shadows but a pet scan will show what they are but are in my lung area. Do u think I should be worried, seems strange that measurements are same either side, I have no symptoms of anything
