My mum was recently diagnosed with advanced bladder cancer which has gone to her liver, lungs and bones. Her bones are breaking very easily, she is now bed bound because she has breaks in her arm, shoulder, hip, ribs and pelvis. She also has delirium due to the high level of calcium (poor, brave woman!)
she wanted to spend her last weeks at home, so carers are coming in 4 times a day but they have to be so careful with her, she is just in to much pain and has an enormous amount of anxiety when they go near the broken bones, She has bed sores and she is not getting the right care or cleanliness which is not their fault, they are trying their best.
Has anyone else experienced someone close going through this? Are there any techniques they can use to move her so she can receive proper care? Bearing in mind she has a broken arm on one side and Brocken hip on the opposite side!
