  • Hi there, you need to speak to his McMillan nurse as he may have painful legs or he may have an infection if he's up every hour.  They are there to help and should be your go to person as they know Dad's case and can advise wisely and helpfully.  Ring them ASAP and get some assistance.  Kind regards, Carol

  • thanks carol,he doesn't have a macmillan nurse, his doctor said they weren't concerned with the cancer as he will die with the fibrosis 1st,i have spoke to the district nurse about palliative care but she says just to phone them when i think he needs it,they have asked him if he's in pain but he says he's not,he was prescribed morphine from the doctor and took this last night,he seemed to be a bit more settled,he doesn't have an infection and his prostrate was checked when he was in hospital,i just hope i am doing the right thing, thanks for advice though, much appreciated
