Really sorry about your Mum. Everyone deals with situations like this in different ways. But you have recognized that the way you are dealing with it is not healthy, and that is a major step. It would be good if you have at least one family member or friend who you can trust and feel comfortable with. But that is not always the case. Also some people, although well meaning, will say things that will want to make you scream: 'you'll be fine', 'it's for the best' etc. etc. Or pushing you to talk about your feelings when you just want to be left alone.

Another route is to seek professional counselling to help you get through this. There are reputable references to be found on this site. Or you could start with your GP. 

And this site is a great resource, of course. Everyone here 'gets' what you are going through in a way family and friends may not. We will help you any way we can.
