Surgery.

Hi.

My brother in law has been diagnosed with esophageal cancer that has spread to the lymph nodes. He is in hospital and waiting for the surgery with no chemo or radiotherapy due. Can I ask if anyone has survived this for a while and what quality of life is/ time scale. They have said curative but not entirely sure on the meaning of this.

I lost both parents to cancer and my best friend earlier this year. Its a horrible disease.

Thank you.
