Wedding and mum has been diagnosed with lung cancer

Hi everyone,

I am due to get married in February 2020 but my mum has been diagnosed with lung cancer. She isn't fit enough to start treatment yet but until September I will have no idea what that will look like. Due to covid I hadn't started to do anything and now with my mum I have no idea what to do as I'm not sure if she will be having treatment or not in February. Does anyone have any advice? Thank you so much. Just want my mum to be ok x

  • Hello Loubags,

Poor you. As if it wasn't already such a stressful time to get married due to covid, I can imagine that your mum's diagnosis and the uncertainty surrounding her treatment are making things all the more complicated for you. Perhaps you could try and get in touch with her specialist and try to find out more as to whether they have a timeframe for her treatment? Based on what the doctors tell you, you could then perhaps have a better idea as to how to organize or plan for your wedding depending also on what the treatment plan looks like for your mum. I really hope that they can advise you further on this or give you a clearer idea as to what to expect.

Congratulations by the way and I hope that everything goes smoothly with the wedding planning. We're thinking of you during this stressful time and hope that your mum is ok.

    Best wishes,
