Second time alopecia

I don't know if im even allowed to be here, im sorry. Just wanted to know if a cancer supportee, ie family or friends can get advice here. Iv been searching for hours to find an answer or response. This is my last resort.  Please,  can anyone help me.

I suffered severe alopecia when my grandfather passed 20 years ago. My hair grew back but not my eyebrows,  stupid and vain I bet you think?  I have drawn my eyebrows every day for just over 20 years i honestly don't care, plus its ghe fashion now.

My aunt suffered liver failure two years ago,  and finally after a monumental battle she had a transplant last year, she fought every step of the way.  She's just been diagnosed with bowel cancer. They dont think her body is strong enough for surgery due to her traumatic time going through that.

She's such a fighter and il be there.

My hair is falling out again, much more and much quicker than the first time. I want to focus on my aunt so please,  any recommendations to switch my brain would be amazing!

Im a horrid person, i know. Sorry.

Xx

  • Hello Cherieeepow,

Just wanted to say hello and that you're not vain at all, but it might be a good idea to contact your doctor, as it seems what you suffer from might be stress related. Having a chat with them might be useful, you never know. I'm sorry to hear about your aunt, she sounds like a strong lady and the fact that you care means that you're not a horrid person. In terms of supporting her, there is some helpful information here, so you can be there for her the best way you can.

Best wishes to you and your aunt,
