Mum with gallbladder cancer

My mum was diagnosed with stage 4 gallbladder cancer in april. She was told she had months.
she was given a low dosage chemo to see if it could give her anymore time. A scan was done after 3 months to see if it had helped. We've just had the results. It hasn't worked and has now spread to lymphnodes in her upper abdomen. She has to wait another week for a face to face appointment to discuss what happens next.
I'm so crushed. I prayed and prayed it would have worked. I don't know what to do I feel like I'm in limbo and I'm so terrified from one day to the next of losing her

  • Hi Louharg81,

I'm so sorry to read this about your mum - I can only imagine how difficult this must be. No doubt it must be a bit of a rollercoaster of emotion at the moment. It's cliched but take things one day at a time, and make the most of each day with her if you can. Hopefully the next appointment will provide some information that will help to guide or inform things a little.

Keep looking after yourself too. We're always here for support on this forum, do keep using it as much as is helpful, and/or speaking to others around you too.

    Wishing you all the best,
