Hi, 

Thought id ask in here as you helped when my dad was first diagnosed. 

My dad was diagnosed in February with stage 3 lung cancer already suffers with severe copd and a life expectancy of 6 to 12 months. 

Last few weeks hes had repeated chest infections treated with antibiotics and steroids. 6 days ago I had to ring for a ambulance because he rang to say he couldnt breath. (That's not my dad) Paramedics checked his obs all perfect so got intouch with doctors to give more antibiotics. Finished those today and hes still so breathless he needs help.  Pallative care team have been in twice since Feb but he doesnt need their care yet so they have passed him back to the district nurses. District nurses came out to assess him day after ambulance  call and because his obs are all fine there is nothing they can do just to continue with his morphine of 10mg a day and they will see him in 4 weeks. His obs are 98 over 96 so cant give oxygen but seeing him so breathless just lying in bed I dont understand it.  

Hes not eating anymore hes lost 8lbs in a month, Hes sleeping through the day/night just keeps waking up constantly  because he cant breath he feels like hes suffocating but no-one will help because his sats are brilliant. Hes had pallative radiotherapy in March but didnt help at all so doesnt want to go through that again. 

Anyone got any advice please. Its breaking me
