MDT meeting tomorrow

One week ago Friday my 36 year old fiancé had a colonoscopy. They couldn't finish it due to finding a mass on the top of the left descending colon.
We were told by the dr in his words "extremely concerning"

He had a CT scan last Wednesday and then tomorrow is the MDT meeting so we have an appointment tomorrow afternoon but I'm absolutely terrified.

He's been having abdominal pain (but lower right sided so not where the mass is) and constipation/diaahorea for about 7-8 months

I am trying so desperately hard to be positive but I'm absolutely terrified about what the CT scan could reveal and what they might say tomorrow in this appointment.

It's the staging I'm worried about because we just don't know. I can't even let myself think about the future at the moment and it's so difficult seeing the man I love so much go through this even though he doesn't feel sick, he's not being sick and still has appetite although because the Dr was concerned about the mass and the risk of a blockage he's having to be on a low residue diet but this is causing more problems in itself due to increased constipation but because he can't have fibre at the moment the constipation is more than likely because of the low residue diet.

  • I know this is a teally worrying time for you. My dad has had abdominal pain for about 7-8 months too now unable to eat well he had a colonoscopy but they were unable to fully succeed due to the mass being so big and resucing his colon so much, he had a CT scan but they have confirmed its cancer we are waiting now for the MDT meeting.

If it helps he has been told to aboid high fibre and beans of all kinds may be worth changing his diet to help with the pain, it helped dad to a degree xx
