Terminal pancreatic cancer

Hello there, it's been almost a year since my last post when dad was diagnosed with inoperable pancreatic cancer.  Dad did so well with his chemo sessions although he was getting some side effects which aggravated nerve endings particularly in his feet.  He was given a break from chemo because of this but also because of COVID 19 restrictions.  3 months later, after another series of tests, the tumour has grown back and Dad is restarting his chemo again....consultant is not optimistic that this will be successful but dad wants to give another try.  Will post with update towards the end of August once we've understood how the next three chemo cycles have gone.

thanks all.

  • Hello Andydownunder,

I am sorry to hear that your dad's tumour has grown back and I hope that his chemotherapy treatment goes as well as last time. We are keeping everything crossed for your dad that it proves successful.

We look forward to hearing your next update once you've had a clearer idea of how the chemotherapy cycles have gone. Wishing your dad the very best for his treatment.

    Best wishes,

  • Thanks Lucie...tough being the other side of the world here in Melbourne particularly with Covid restrictions and not being able to quickly head back the the UK for a couple of weeks to provide some support to dad and my sister who lives close to dad.

will let you know how things go.

    cheers
