Whats next....

HI

So this is my first time of posting on here and I just wanted a little guidance...

My mum was diagnosed with cancer in November last year. Its stage 4 and we know it can't be cured. She had chemo which didn't work. So they then moved to immuno therapy. Today she was told that that is no longer working and they are now going to try radiotherapy....what happens if that doesn't work? Is it then just pain management...moving to end of life care?

Obviously this isn't something you want to think about....but I also need to be prepared for what's coming....

Any advice is really welcomed...

Thanks

I'm sorry to hear that your Mum's treatment options are coming to an end. Hopefully she will get some positive news from the radiotherapy but it's understandable that you want to feel prepared for what lies ahead.
We do have some information on our website here which may answer some of your questions but you're also welcome to call our team of nurses who will be able to give you some advice and support. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.

    Best wishes,
