Hi,
I am living in the UK and my father lives in another country, where COVID cases is raising. His stage 4 lung cancer diagnosis came in Feb 2019.
He's had some chemotherapy. But COVID prevented and delayed full treatment and resulting in growth and spread to multiple locations this past few months. He even got false positive COVID at one point due to an infection.
The infection has gotten worse and he is bedriden in the hospital. Doctor did tell us to prepare for the worst and asked us to decide if we want to give him life support if his heart stops.
He lost consciousness today, but now he's back. He's lost conciousness several days ago. I'm not sure how long he can live, he's very weak. I worry that I would not see him again or be there in his funeral.
In normal times, I would go home. Both of my parents, relatives and sibling would not let me come home because of COVID risk. I acknowledge that 20 hours flight is risky. I have been looking into ways to get back, I require negative PCR test 7 days before the arriving. I am also conflicted if I would infect my parents with COVID.
