need help please

my mother was diagnosed and she has breast cancer .invasive ductal carcinoma (luminal b).the tests showed these results .oestrogen receptor postive .progesterone receptor negative.her2 negative .ki67 was 30% . she is 75 years old and had a stroke few years ago but now she is doig fine .the doctor said surgery at her age is high risk for her because she may not survive a general anesthesia.we don t know what to do because xrays showed some tiny stains in her lungs too which we believe that the cancer has already reached her lungs .is there anyone here who can help me please and who has experienced similar situation ?is hormonetherapy and taking tamoxifen to control the cells growth safe at her age ?

    Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm very sorry to read about your mother - this sounds like a really difficult situation. Unfortunately no-one here can advise on this as it's only your mother's doctor or specialist who can do this. Try to discuss with them the different options and steps available so that your mother can make an informed decision about the best or preferred way forward.
