Neck cancer

Partner diagnosed the neck cancer 30/4/20 - last week of treatment had chemo and radiotherapy - this week just radiotherapy- he's feeling awful - mouthful of ulcers can barely swollow - living off porridge and fortified products like fortisip - feeling nauseous, been constipated - very tierd -lost 8 kg in 5 weeks - anybody had the same cancer:treatment/ when do things start to get easier ??  He just done 39 years in the British Army - he's a fit guy - never conpained once and very positive - anyone got any bright ideas or time scales - I no everyone is different but just looking for abit of Hope

    I'm sorry your partner's having a bit of a tough time at the moment but he sounds like one tough cookie so fingers crossed things will start to improve and get a bit easier for the both of you soon.

    I'm sure some of our head and neck members who have gone through this will offer their support and advice to you soon but if you'd like to have a chat about this with one of our cancer nurses then you're welcome to give them a call on 0808 800 4040.     In the mean time I hope this information we have about managing diet problems will help when it comes to eating.
