Lung cancer Mum given two months to live, it’s almost up...

Hello All,

I have read many many posts to this community and I am so greatful for all the posts which have helped me.

My 75 year old Mum was diagnosed with lung cancer in November last year. They were hopeful was the news. Five rounds of chemo and a round of radiotherapy, they went to final meeting expecting the all clear. That was sadly not the case. Mum instead was given two months to live. The cancer had gone into lymph nodes and now was in both lungs, her neck, her kidneys and her bones. We were in shock.

First six weeks not much changed. In the last few weeks has been a rapid rapid deteriatoin. Mum now can't walk, can't feed herself and has to be changed by dad and basically sleeps 23 hours of the day in a hospital bed at home. When eating it is teaspoon amounts. She isn't in pain (we don't know why) but are very glad of that.

I just want the doctors to say when we are down to a few days left so I can gather the family. Is this something that is likely? I have read about cold hands, mottling skin. I just desperately want my sibling to be with her at the end they live other side of the country.

Any advice would be wonderful.

Thank you x
