Hi everyone,
I was hoping for some advice that is fairly realistic advice.
My brother brother who is 23 was diagnosed with chondrosarcoma in his skull/brain just this April and is, uncommonly, going under a second and very risky surgery to remove the residium tumour which is located on his caratoid artery giving him extra complications that may arise and may even take his life they've told us chemotherapy and radiotherapy are either too dangerous or simply ineffective forms of treatment. What can we expect?
Also my sister was diagnosed with Ewings sarcoma when she was 18, she is now 21. She relapsed in late 2018 and her cancer is now stage 4/metastatic with it now located in her lungs, liver and behind the heart currently. Her tumours are inoperable due to the locations they're in and the same goes for any radiotherapy. She is also on her last chance with chemotherapy which doctors are not expecting to work. She has been referred for targeted therapy but due to the nature of how much her cancer is progressing, it is also unlikely to work but we are hoping there is a potential chance. What can we expect in terms of months, is the cancer terminal in her case or do we have hope?
Other forms of treatment such as immunotherapy etc are said to be ineffective for her type of cancer too. I'm worried she won't make it especially with how it's progressing. I'm only 19 and I also lost my father to cancer back in 2006. Cancer is such a big part of my family and I'm worried about what to expect in the next few months.
Out of desperation, I even started up a go fund me page to help them ease things. I don't think I can post the link here. I'm so scared and each day is harder than the day before. I don't want to grow up without them.
