My mother has cancer and is going to start chemotherapy tablets from July - December.

I am due to have a minor surgery in September which would require my mother taking me to and from the hospital on the same day... If she is on chemotherapy tablets would this even be possible or is it too high risk for her to do this? 

Another option is my father taking me to and from the hospital.

But as I would come home after my surgery I am worried about spreading anything to my mother... What should I do?
