Bowel cancer in the lung

Hi, my family member had bowel cancer which showed up in 1 lung, a Lobectomy ( half lung) was removed last year.
Scan results now show a new 6mm tumour in the same lung , absolutely  gutted !
He is fit and think he still has good lung function.

I'm wondering if the full lung removal will be an option?? Good news is that it's in the same lung ... staying positive
