Caring for someone with cancer Dad 84

Dad was take to hospital with symptoms like a stroke

2 scan later and 2 masses which they said was cancer

They had to say over the phone

they don't know where it started and they said it can be weeks 3-4 before he will get a pet scan ?

sent home with no medication

no help

and I feel lost !!

he lives alone and I live 2 hours away

and isolating !
what do I need to do

I am scared

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm very sorry to read about your Dad - I hope you're getting on OK although I can imagine this is an incredibly difficult situation and even more so with the uncertainty.
The scan will likely be required before they can determine a course of treatment, and it is usual to have to wait a little to get an appointment for a scan. I know this time must be unsettling but it sounds as if there's nothing that can be done while waiting for the appointment, apart from of course keeping in touch with your Dad as normal.
Of course if you have any medical concerns about your Dad's condition then do be sure he or yourself speaks to his doctor.
