  • Hello Gemma28,

A warm welcome to our forum. It's so sad that your fiance's best friend has been diagnosed with multiple tumours. I can imagine this has been a real shock for your fiance and it must be so hard at the moment especially. I think all you can do in this situation is be there for your partner. You seem to be very caring and I am sure you fiance will appreciate you being around at the moment during a time that is particularly difficult. I am sorry to hear as well about your parents' medical issues - as you say this pandemic is making it extra hard sometimes to be able to support our loved ones in the way we would normally do. It's harder these days to be physically present for our loved ones. Make sure you call them regularly and check how they are doing I am sure they will just appreciate hearing from you and knowing that you are thinking about them.

I will now let our members come and say hello and perhaps give you some tips based on their own experiences of supporting loved ones through challenging times.

    Best wishes,
