I apologise if this has already been asked. My mum has been referred for radiotherapy (3 weeks) for grade 3 breast cancer. I will not name the cancer centre, but I am wondering what arrangements cancer centres are making during covid 19 to ensure patient safety. We rang the cancer centre who said that my mum can wait in the car and to ring ahead if she has a cough or high temp or she can delay treatment m which concerned us due to the cancer grade. Obviously we are incredibly grateful to the NHS for their continuation of my mums treatment in these difficult times. But is there anyone who is currently attending radiotherapy who can help us to know what precautions are being taken? She has her CT scan and ink marker appointment next week, I'm so worried she will be exposed to Covid.
M,any thanks and blessing
