Hi there, I am new here and just wanted to say I feel your pain. My mum was admitted last Monday and diagnosed with oesophagus cancer Friday and I can't be with her. She can't swallow is being fed through pic line and we are still waiting treatment plan for what this means. It's so hard to not be with loved ones at this time. Sending much love xxx

My mum has been hospitalised for a month now first thought pneumonia then it 'may ' have been COPD then they found colon cancer and liver spread. Mum is 72 but always been healthy. I am devastated. They think the chest thing was fluid on her lungs despite lungs still clear of cancer. I'm unsure if cancer is at stage 3 or 4 but I know it's advanced. I just hope and pray there is treatment that will be curative. God it must be so hard for our loved ones there in hospital all alone and no hugs all i want to do is hold her hand. ️ We are all in so much pain these are testing and trying times. Take care x

Hi Jules, we're coping on our own, Norman in 12 week lockdown but we're taking it a day at a time.  We're aged 74 and 71 and can't see our loved ones so we're face timing, sending silly stories and enjoying being together.  We have good neighbours who help but I still go out in my car for essentials.  Norman is still having immunotherapy and sleeping a lot, I bet your parents are coping and we try not to worry our grown up daughters too much.  Take care and do the best you can.  Love Carol x
