Hello Mary and welcome to the forum but sorry that you find yourself here. Lung cancer alone is hard to cope with without all the worries that come with the coronavirus.  When my late husband was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2016, we were given a prognosis of 9-12 months.  He had 4 sessions of palliative radiotherapy with a view to keeping the tumour at bay and giving him a better quality of life for his remaining time.

I was working at the time and decided to carry on as long as the situation allowed. However I only managed to do this for a couple of months as he really started to deteriorate, he had problems swallowing and used to choke and vomit blood.  This continued until he passed away after only 6 months.

I am so sorry for you both, horrible having to deal with the cancer and the ongoing worry with the coronavirus which affects the lungs.

I don't think that anyone else can make the decision for you, and no not even his family.

I hope that you do what you feel is right for yourself and your husband.

Thank you so much for replying. I'm very sorry you had to go through it, life is so cruel sometimes. 

It's such a scary time, with the diagnosis and now the coronavirus. 

We've been was told 3-6 months, he's not really symptomatic at the moment.  Hubby is telling me to carry on working but my instincts are to stay home, I'd never forgive myself if I brought the coronavirus home.
