Hi
Does anyone know how to arrange for a nurse to live in at home to provide palliative care? My husband has a brain tumour and we need to get him home with the help of a nurse. We live in east sussex.
Thank you.

Hi Daffodils, you should have a cancer nurse dedicated to your case, call them as they have your husband's file. Take care, Carol x
Hello ,
Marie Curie provide a service for the terminally ill,and there are other organisations that do a similarservice but you have to be referred to them by your doctors and you cannot go direct,Just look at their website. So as Dor06 has sensibly suggested, speak to your husbands medical team to see if that is possible,
good luck,
David
Thank you gruntifen and Dor06 for your advice, I'll ask again tomorrow at the hospital .
I have been in the hospital all afternoon and tried to speak to the discharge team and OT. I have found it extremely difficult to find anything out about treatments, decisions and future plans. I think the virus has made things worse but I feel as confused as I did when my mother died 20 years ago.
Thank you both for your replies. They have been very helpful.
