Diagnosis advice

Hi,

My fiance should hopefully find out the results of his tongue biopsy tomorrow. I know positivity is key, but I want to be prepared for the worst.

This week has been so tough, he's been in so much pain since the biopsy, paired with no smoking for the first time in years and not being able to swallow or talk properly. It hasn't been easy.

I know everyone is different, but I was wondering if anyone could share what they were greatful for when they were diagnosed, or anything you wish someone had done, or wish someone had responded in a certain way.

I just want to be as helpful as possible.

  • Hi B987,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sorry no-one replied to you sooner - I see it was yesterday that your fiance had the appointment, so hopefully you now know more.

If you feel you'd like further support then do continue to use this forum - it is a very understanding and welcoming community - and hopefully you'll receive further replies to your question soon.

    Wishing you all the best,
