Hoarse voice 1st round chemo

Hi all

Hubby had his first round of chemo on Monday for Lung cancer (left lung) that has as spread to his liver

Today his voice has become really hoarse. Started a day or so ago, but sore and raspy now

Does anyone know what he can take, and if this is normal?

Hello Snoopy6691,
I hope that despite the voice issues your hubby's first round of chemotherapy for lung cancer went well. We have information on our website on chemotherapy treatment for lung cancer which you can find here. It would be a good idea to mention your husband's voice hoarseness to his medical team who will be in the best position to tell you what might have caused this and whether there is something he can take to help improve things for him.

Hi, my mother in law has the same. She had her first chemo 2 weeks ago & has just lost her voice now. It must be a side effect but check with your consultant.
