I am so sorry to hear that your grandma is so poorly. I can understand why you are feeling so worried and would want to know if her noisy breathing could be an indication that she is nearing the end. It is a good sign though that she is still alert, talking and drinking. I think it would be best to ask your grandma's medical team or any GP really what they think and whether this is just a sound that occurs with lung cancer. Do mention that your grandma is still physically active and is talking and drinking.
