The coronavirus is more dangerous to people who have an immune system that is not working properly. People going through some types of cancer treatment such as chemotherapy may have a reduced immunity. Sometimes it can it can be a long term side effect of treatment. Sometimes certain cancers might also impact on a person's ability to fight off infection.
