Precious moments

My Mum -a proud and fiercely independent +80 yr old was admitted to hospital in early January with pneumonia. Since her admission (she is still in hospital ) her health seriously deteriorated and an MRI scan showed she had fluid and nodules in her lungs. Fluid was taken from her lungs and the diagnosis was cancer (terminal). The consultant is unable to provide any timeline but also adviced my family that Mum has an added complication of a blood clot around her heart .

Although the news is devastating as a family we remain strong and very protective of Mum.

You may ask why am I writing on this chat page - well I'm looking for advice.

Mum would like to travel back to England to spend whatever days or weeks she has left with my husband , her 2 grand daughters and I. The advice I am seeking is who do I need to contact to assist with transport.?

Mum is still on oxygen and a drip as her bloods show she is still dehydrated.

I have visited a beautiful hospice today - but I know that  Mum would be on her own during the week with visits only taking place at the end of the working day. I would travel up at weekends while fretting about how she was during the week. This is not how Mum wants to spend her last "Precious Moments". I will do everything in my power to carry out her wishes and bring her down to England but just need to know how to go about doing this , can anyone advise me ? Please.

The palliative nurse has said this needs to happen sooner rather than later - so please, please if you have read to the end of this request get back to me.

I thank you for taking time out to read some or all of this  and my thoughts and prayers are with you all xxx
