It must be such a difficult time for you and your family. I can imagine this is also having a great effect on your dad. It must be so hard for him to see your mum in this way it is so sad that she has given up, has no mobility and needs to stay in hospital.

I am sorry to hear too that the CT scan has confirmed that the cancer has spread to her lungs. It must be really frustrating for you all not to have been given any information and to feel that it isn't easy to get in touch with the oncology team. Timescale is as you can imagine really hard to predict. Hopefully the radiotherapy will help improve your mum's quality of life. I am glad though that given everything you are going through, at least the nursing team on the medical ward has been great so you feel your mum is in caring hands.

Thanks. Sadly mum's condition has taken a rapid turn for the worse. There are no. Treatment options other than keeping her comfortable. She has spent the last two days sleeping. She cried for her mum this evening and it was just awful.

I've lost all trust in the oncology team - who have been blasé and lazy since day one...
