  • Hi Katieann,

Sorry to hear about your dad's condition, I had no idea worming tablets were being taken by humans until I googled it. My dad has terminal lung cancer and he's given up. If I don't remind him to take his medication he doesn't bother, he's diabetic and refuses to check his blood sugar, saying there's no point.

What I see in my dad is fear and he feels he's loosing control, so even by doing what I think is negative behaviour he thinks at least he has a choice. I don't have a great relationship with my dad either, we have become closer since his illness and I try and understand what he's going through. Some people just find it really hard to accept this is happening to them, like I said it believe it's fear based. I also accept he has to deal with it in his own way, it's not easy. Most days I just try and be kind, and try not to judge him too harshly. I hink just knowing someone carries helps even if he wouldn't admit it.

    look after yourself too x
