Well the thing I found helpful was the person who was with me, took pen and paper .. with my questions on .. so nothing forgotten on the day .. she wrote down All relivent info , as it all went over my head ... so she'd written everything including dates down ...

Lastly if they talk in jargon or say things you don't understand ... ask them to put it simpler ... untill you do ... hope that helps a tad ... sure you'll get lots of good tips soon ... Chrissie   .....

Thank you. I planned to take a pad and pen to write things down, and will definitely ask for things to be simplified for everyone's benefit. 
Unlike you, my mum doesn't have any planned questions as yet. Maybe, by Friday, she might have some, but she's still in shock and denial at the moment, so we are going in slightly underprepared
