Hi, my mum starts chemo on the 30th dec. Just looking for any advice on how what to expect and ways I can help? And if anyone on here has been through it, is there anything that helped you?
Thanks

Hello Laura and welcome to the forum.
I'm sorry to hear that Mum will be starting chemo shortly. We've some information on our website that might help you to understand what to expect and some of the side effects that your Mum may experience. You can read more here.
I hope that some of our membesr will pop along and reply to give you some tips and ideas about what helped them during and after their treatment. I know that one thing that's mentioned fairly regularly is about taking something to keep you occupied during treatment. So it may be a book or a magazine. Perhaps a talking book or some music to listen to.
Your Mum will be/have been given some contact details for a specialist nurse. Keep these handy so that if you have any concerns about anything after her treatment you can contact them for advice. Don't be afraid to contact them - that's part of their role.
I hope treatment goes as well as possible for Mum.
Best wishes,
Jenn
