Final stages

Hi all

my grandad is now believed to be in his final few stages of cancer. He isn't eating anything and asleep all day and night only waking up very rarely for a sip of water or juice. He's having hallucinations due to morphine but I don't believe he is in any pain. He has thrush in his mouth and he has lost bladder control he's on a catheter and is using pads. Has anyone been in this situation before he's at home not a hospice, our family are wondering how long we have left with him and how do we cope with this he is very restless and he's fed up

many thanks for any response
