Today I found out my dads cancer is no longer treatable and I really don't know how to cope.
I've been so strong these past few months but I think I've been stopping myself from feeling anything.
Any advice on how to deal with this please

Hello Pops22
I'm so sorry to hear that your Dad has been given this news. It's obviously a very difficult time for you all at the moment.
There is no right nor wrong way to cope with this type of information and no doubt you will experience lots of different thoughts and emotions over the coming weeks and months. We lots of information on our website about coping that might help.
You are likely to need time to let the news sink in. It’s important to allow yourself this time. You can try to get your thoughts and emotions together.
The best thing to do is try and focus on what you can do to help. Don't be afriad to talk to your Dad about how you are feeling. Share your fears and let them know that you're there to love and support them as much as you can.
If you'd like to talk things through with one of our team of nurses then do give them a call. I'm sure they'll be able to offer some support and advice. They're available Monday to friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.
And of course you're welcome to post here on the forum too. I'm sure that the community will do what they can to support you.
Best wishes,
Jenn
