Stage 4 brain tumour

My husband has a stage 4 brain tumour he has been in Commission for the last 15 years, but the last two years it's come back with a vengeance he's had chemotherapy radiotherapy but it's not worked. He is deteriorating day by day and I just don't know what to expect, we have Macmillan palliative care in place but it's awful because he's not eating now he finds it hard to swallow.

  • Hi Stower,

I'm so sorry to read about your husband and what you're going through at the moment - I can only imagine how difficult this must be.

In terms of what to expect, it's best to discuss this with your husband's doctor and/or the Macmillan team - unfortunately no-one here can really advise as everyone is different.

However do continue to use this forum for any support from others, or simply as a safe space to write down any worries, thoughts, or concerns you have. It's a very welcoming and understanding community of people here.

Make sure you're looking after yourself too, and getting all the support and answers that you need both for your own sake but also to help your husband.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben
