My mum was told last week that she had cancer in her breast which had spread to her spine. There was no lump as it is embedded in her breast tissue.
She has been today to the breast clinic and after further tests they have discovered that it is also in her ribs and they are fairly sure lungs.
They are giving her drugs but nothing else and haven't given us any indication of time scales or what her long term prognosis is .
We have to go back next week for the results of her biopsy so they know which drugs to give her.
They wont say anything but its very serious.
Does this mean I'm right in thinking she has months rather than years ?
Finding this very confusing and stressful
