My aunty has breast cancer and is having chemo. To protect us she is being incredibly positive and upbeat but I don't think she is telling us the full story. I kind of understand why she would do that. She's such a kind and brave person. 

She said she's not having surgery because the chemo is all she needs but I've read conflicting things. I also found out that her breast has collapsed. Does she not need surgery because it's too late? Is she just having chemo to prolong her life but not cure her? I've asked her to be 100% honest but it's not my place to put pressure on her when she's so I'll. 

Can anyone help clarify anything for me please?
