Hi has your mother received a visit from an occupational therapists (i think this was done by the gp)one came to see my husband  (he was diagnosed in May 2019 kidney cancer that had spread )so palliarive care/treatment, this lady came out in September and arranged for him to have a rise easy chair,perching stool ect, she also arranged a meeting with the MacMillan nurse who has sorted so many things out for us,blue badge for the car (we hadn't thought of that) making sure we have all the benefits, some we never knew existed. Sometimes the chemotherapy department have a MacMillan nurse that is there for you to talk to when the patient is receiving treatment. If you have the telephone  number of the chemotherapy department and ask about the MacMillan nurses i am sure they will help, this cancer journey is hard for the patient and their loved ones, stay strong
