Symptoms

My wife was diagnosed 2.5 years ago with stage 4 breast cancer, she’s currently having chemo every 3 weeks and recently Iv noticed she’s getting tired easily, does anyone know what the likely stages are from here on, like tiredness, sickness, dissyness, I don’t know what to look out for other than her being tired

  • Hi there ..

So so sorry your going through this ... there's no info books like they have with pregnancy... or parent hood ... and endless ways to cook food .. but this .. so many just want help recognising or how to do things .. or where to go in their area .. just left out confused ..

All I can say is if it was me I'd call Marie Currie... they specialise in this area ,.. think that would be a good start .. have your questions written down so you don't forget anything .. and write down any info they give you..

From what I've learned on here, our bodies shut down some slowly some quickly .. and most inbetween ...  my heart goes out to you ... and you can always chat on here .. it's a great place to vent too ...  so sending you a vertual hug...  let us know how it goes ...   Chrissie xx

  • Hi Denman71, my husband has stage 4 lung cancer and during the chemo stage he slept nearly 18 hours a day, it worried me a lot but he needed the sleep so I just made sure he didn't get sore points by making him lay on a sheepskin blanket, kept him warm and plenty of fluids, he did get a little unbalanced but he came through it all.  So just go with how your wife is feeling and make sure you get your rest and good food as well, we carer's have to look after ourselves as well.  You didn't say how old your wife is, my husband  was 71 when he began chemotherapy and although incurable hell be 74 next  March.  Don't give up.  Take care,  Carol
