Low grade serous Ovarian cancer

Hi there,

i am currently nursing my Wife through stage 4 Ovarian cancer. We were told  recently that there are no more treatment options available so we are reaching the end of a 6 year  journey. I don’t know what near future holds for us as a family and how we are going to cope. So far we have remained very strong and I am trying my best to show an example of strength and courage but I am buckling and questioning my own resilience. I hope I can find the inner strength to help my Wife and Family throughout the darks day’s that are approaching xxx

  • Hello Kenny7,

I just wanted to welcome you to our forum. It must be so tough for you at the moment. You have been through a lot in the last 6 years so resilient and brave and it is normal to feel exhausted by it all. Your wife I am sure appreciates your support and having you by her side and I know you will find this inner strength to be there for your wife and family every step of the way.  Many here will tell you how important it is to look after yourself, to care for the carer and we have some information on this here.

I will now let our other members come and say hello and share their own stories with you. You are not alone Kenny7, we are all here anytime you feel the need to talk or offload.

Best wishes to you and your wife,
