Devastated

My mum was diagnosed with thyroid cancer 4 years ago so had her thyroid removed. Then 2 years ago we found it had spread to her liver. Just been told there is nothing more they can do. I don't think I can live without my mum. She's my best friend and my whole world. My little boy is only three too.  They haven't said how long she has and she seems very well now. It's not fair and I can't believe this is happening to my family.

  • Hello Golfdelsur

I'm sorry to hear that your Mum has been given this news. Understdnably it's a difficult time for you all at the moment.

I can see that you've had a reply from Nurse Jean on another post that hopefully gave you a bit more information. I'm sorry that we're not able to offer any firms answers to your questions.

It's good that Mum is feeling well at the moment. I hope that you are all able to spend time together enjoying each others company and making memories.

Do feel free to post here whenever you feel the need to chat or offload. It can sometimes help to write things down.

    Sending you our best wishes,

  • Thank you. It's just not fair- she's only 72 and my little boy is only 3. Feel like we've been robbed. Not as close to dad it's always been me and mum against the world. She's the only one who always always is on my side.
