You sound a very caring son / daughter ... but I'm afraid no one can answer your question .. all of us with cancer doesn't know if we will survive it .. but I had a grade 3 breast cancer nearly two years ago and thought my number was up after that diagnosis... but I'm still here and doing well ...

All cancers are slightly different ... so no two go exactly the same way .. your mum will probly have a hard journey ahead ... cancer is like a rollercoaster... up on minute and down the next .. but with support it is doable, there's lots on here, taking cancer on, and pushing boundaries.... 

Try to stop panicking ... live in the day ... take each problem as and when it comes up.... and just being there for your mum will mean the world to her ... she will have many days feeling exorsted ... that's normal .. a lot more sleeping then usual ... May be teary at times .. these are all what most of us go through ... so try not to think worst case scenario... no one knows what tomorrow will bring ...

So remember all those feelings your having are normal .. but once you get your head around it, you'll cope much better, which will help your mum .. talk to her ... listen to her ... it's o.k to share a few tears .. it's o.k to both admit it's scary ... but you can do this together ...

I'm sorry to hear about your mum and I can imagine it's frustrating for you to not get the clear answers you want, but it can be quite hard for the doctors to tell. However, I wanted to point out that there is support available for you. Riprap and Hope Support Services are great organisations that offers information on support in your area and also has a forum especially for young people, which may be more comfortable for you.
