Hi all, so many questions, dad by word of the consultant is a difficult case, he goes in tuesday for his pre op, op to happen in next 4 weeks, to have the tumour/nodule removed from his upper right lung by means of a segmentectomy, if possible if not by a lobectomy, they are not sure what type it is and how big it is, even after biopsy ct and pet scans??? He has something on his left lung aswell and are quite certain its cancer to but "its complex" whatever that means??, hes battled lukemia, never been told hes in remission, words of ephasymia and copd have been thrown in, also very susceptible to Gvhd. I know the op is a huge risk factor alone, but how do they not know what type of cancer this is by the multiple test they have done, anybody been in the same boat please. ?? Xx sorry for the long windedness.
